Earthquake Bedminster
Earthquake Shakes Trump's Golf Club
Epicenter Near Bedminster, New Jersey, Raises Questions
Former President's Club Damaged, No Injuries Reported
Former President Donald Trump's golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, was hit by the 4.8 magnitude earthquake that rattled the tri-state area on Friday. The epicenter of the quake was just a stone's throw from Trump's famed resort, raising questions about potential damage to the property.
According to local residents, the earthquake was a surreal experience. Stacey Rogers of Bedminster said she was in the shower when the ground beneath her feet began to shake violently. "It felt like I was out of body," she said.
The earthquake caused no injuries and only minor damage to buildings in the area. However, the pro-Trump club sustained some damage, including cracked walls and broken windows. The extent of the damage is still being assessed.
The earthquake was the largest to hit the tri-state area in decades. It was followed by a series of aftershocks, including a magnitude 2.0 aftershock that was reported at about 11:20 a.m. on Saturday.
The epicenter of the quake was located in Bedminster Township, just a few miles from Trump's golf club. The earthquake was felt throughout the region, including in New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.
Geologists are still studying the earthquake and its potential implications. They say it is too early to tell whether the quake was caused by natural or human activity.
