Early Life And Rebellion
Franklin Graham: A Life of Faith and Service
Early Life and Rebellion
Franklin Graham was born on July 14, 1952, as the fourth child of evangelist Billy Graham and his wife, Ruth Bell Graham. Growing up in a devout Christian family, Franklin initially resisted his parents' faith and embarked on a period of rebellion and travel. However, at age 22, he experienced a profound spiritual transformation that led him to commit his life to Jesus Christ.
Samaritans Purse and BGEA
Franklin Graham followed in his father's footsteps as a Christian evangelist. He became the president of Samaritans Purse, a humanitarian organization that provides aid and disaster relief to people in need worldwide. Graham also founded the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), which continues to spread the Christian message through evangelistic crusades and other outreach programs.
